If you’re looking for soul food that feels like a warm hug, Heaven’s Kitchen is the place to be. I had the pleasure of trying their yams, mac n cheese, fish, and smothered chicken - and let me tell you, every bite was a blessing. The yams were perfectly sweet with just the right touch of cinnamon - soft, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth good. The mac n cheese? Creamy, cheesy, that makes each forkful even better than the last. Now let’s talk about the fish - crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful inside. Seasoned just right, it didn’t need a drop of extra sauce. And the smothered chicken was the ultimate comfort food: juicy, well-seasoned, and drowning (in the best way) in a rich, savory gravy that had me licking my fork. A native of Oklahoma City, OK, Chef Jackson began his culinary journey over 20 years ago in the kitchens of prestigious hotels and five-star restaurants in Houston, TX. After graduating from culinary school, he refined his craft in fine dining, mastering both technique and flavor. But his heart always belonged to the soulful dishes of his Southern upbringing. Driven by a lifelong dream to open his own restaurant, Chef Jackson founded Heaven’s Kitchen to share the bold flavors, rich traditions, and heartfelt hospitality that define true soul food. Known not only for his culinary excellence but also for his warm, attentive service, Chef Jackson believes every guest should feel like family. His commitment to creating memorable dining experiences through both food and genuine connection is what sets Heaven’s Kitchen apart.
